As we all know, when the recession hit the economy, companies are forced to lay off thousands of their workers to be able to survive. Millions of people lost their jobs and the impact was obvious. They soon lost their home and the situation is getting more and more difficult. It is almost very hard to describe how devastated the impact of the recession was. Even people who seemed to do well suddenly dropped from their comfort zone and became homeless. This situation was heart-breaking and many did not survive.

The government tried to give some stimulus packages to restore the situation at least making it better. The stimulus programs seem to help the businesses to recover. The recession has made them apply more efficiency and now they are able to gain profits. However, the profits did not come from sales. They come from the cuttings of costs in production and operational. Since the sales growth is still weak, companies will not invest on putting up more capitals or hiring more workers. This will give bad effects to the unemployment rate that has not been changing significantly. If the companies are not hiring, recovery is still very far away. Some economists say that the situation will be better over time. But let’s face it; someone’s got to do something about it.

These days, along with the changing of the world, the competition between people to get higher position in a job becomes tighter and tighter.
